Make a one-person Globetarium - "I see stars!"

Kids (and adults) see constellations in their exact locations as light shines through holes into a four-foot high plastic or aluminum dodecahedron.

Contact us at Globetarium@gmail.com for instructions and files for new CNC-routed and 3D-printed Globetarium using gnomonic projection now at Wonderlab. Or make a smaller and simpler Globetarium using cheap plastic signboard and duct tape.

Print a custom Star Finder for your event

Combines a star finder, celestial globe, and pinhole planetarium.

  • Print double-sided
  • Cut out shape along lines
  • Use pushpins to create pinholes in star positions
  • Fold up along three dotted lines, and tape one edge
  • Look inside to see constellation shapes, names, star names, ...
  • Shine cellphone light from inside to see stars projected

We can make a free custom starfinder for your science fair, eclipse party, library, or classroom activity, with information on upcoming celestial events. We'll bring a large Globetarium if nearby.
